Bespoke

At SIXTEEN 10, we welcome bespoke furniture and cabinetry projects of all sizes. Whether you have a clear design in mind or need expert guidance to bring your vision to life, our custom service is tailored to suit your individual needs and space. Every commission is unique, but we follow a refined six-step process to ensure quality and consistency, while offering optional, handcrafted add-ons for a truly personalised experience.

Our Services

To begin our bespoke furniture and cabinetry process, please get in touch using the form below or by emailing us directly—feel free to include any reference images, inspiration, or drawings. We’ll then arrange an initial call or in-person meeting to discuss your ideas, space, and requirements in detail, tailoring our service to suit your needs. Following this, we’ll provide an estimated cost for your project, based on the scope and materials discussed.

01 Design Brief

During the Concept & Design stage, we’ll begin developing your design to bring your vision to life. As part of our standard service, we provide 2D CAD drawings or sketches to illustrate the proposed design. If you’ve chosen any of our additional tailored add-ons, these will be incorporated into the project at this stage. Please see the details of our tailored add-ons below. We ask for a 20% deposit of the estimated project cost at the start of this design stage to cover our design time.

02 Concept & Design

Once your design has been finalised and approved, we move into the sampling stage. At this point, we will provide samples for you to choose from. If you’re selecting from our standard finishes, we’ll be happy to send you a complete set of samples free of charge. For more bespoke finishes, we’ll work with you to develop the material palette before moving on to sampling. Up to two bespoke finish samples are included within the project’s estimated cost, with any additional samples available at an extra charge.

03 Materiality & Sampling

Once you’re satisfied with the materials and have chosen your finish, we require written approval before we begin creating your piece. If there have been any changes to the original design estimate, we’ll provide you with an updated cost at this stage. We monitor costs throughout all stages and will flag any factors that may increase the initial estimate. Before we can commence manufacturing, a payment of 65% of the quoted amount is required.

04 Sign Off

At this stage, things may go a little quiet—but rest assured, we’ll be hard at work in the workshop carefully crafting your bespoke piece. This part of the process takes time and precision as we bring your design to life using high-quality materials. We're always happy to keep you updated, so if you'd like, we can send progress photos before moving on to the delivery phase.

05 Manufacture

Before delivery, we’ll share progress photos and request the final 20% payment. If you’ve chosen White Glove Delivery & Installation, we’ll personally bring and install your piece. Standard deliveries are handled by our trusted logistics partners. [View our Delivery T&Cs here.]

We’ll also send a care guide to help keep your piece looking its best. We love seeing our work in its new home—feel free to share a photo with us!
